Tetsuya Shimura (志村 鉄也, Shimura Tetsuya) is a minor character in Battle Royale II: Requiem.
Backstory[]
Tetsuya was a member of the Schwartz Katze. He was a fan of military stuff, and his father died in the terrorist attacks.
Before the Program[]
During the Program[]
Tetsuya was the first to die after the boats landed. His partner Sanae Shioda ran away from the other students because she was scared and wanted to go home. He tried to go after her but he was struck and badly wounded by a mortar. Ryo Kurosawa tried to go out and help Tetsuya, but his partner Shiori Kitano tackled him. Tetsuya got up in pain and told Ryo to kill Shuya Nanahara, before being hit by another mortar and killed. Because of his death, his partner Sanae's collar activated, but she was killed by the Wild Seven before her collar detonated.

- The name Tetsuya means "philosophy" (鉄) (tetsu), and "to be" (也) (ya)
- Tetsuya's surname Shimura means "will, purpose" (志) (shi), and "town, village" (村) (mura)
Notes[]
- The lag between when Tetsuya died and when Sanae's collar activated is extremely short, less than ten seconds. The reason for this is unknown.
