Yuka Mifune (三船 由佳, Mifune Yūka) is a minor character in Battle Royale II: Requiem.

Backstory[]

Yuka was one of the delinquents. Her parents are divorced. She was transferred to the school by her mother because of her habitual shoplifting.

Friends and Enemies[]

She hung out with Kazumi Fukuda and Ai Yazawa because of their similar circumstances, but didn't feel a particular friendship towards them

Before the Program[]

During the Program[]

When on approach to the island a Wild Seven sniper shoots Yosuke Miyadai, killing him. Yuka doesn't notice he's dead until Kiyoshi Minamoto yells his name, causing her to turn around and start panicking. Because of the lag between when a student dies and when their partner's collar activates, Yuka's collar did not start beeping until after a nearby boat was destroyed by a rocket. When her collar activates, Yuka begins freaking out and begging the others on the boat for help. Just before Yuka dies, she goes to the end of the boat and screams that she doesn't want to die before her collar detonates. Because Yuka was at the end, her collar causes the engine to explode, taking the boat and everyone aboard it with her.

Etymology[]

  • The name Yuka means "wherefore, a reason" (由) (), and "excellent, pleasing" (佳) (ka)
  • Yuka's surname Mifune means "three" (三) (mi), and "ship, boat" (船) (fune)

References[]

  1. While Riki Takeuchi announced her position as the 33rd, it has been proven that his announcement might not be entirely reflecting the real situation. In fact, Yuka Mifune was killed after Kiyoshi Minamoto, and not the other way around as the announcement suggested. Therefore, instead of the 33rd, her actual position should be the 32nd.
